Production Blog: Final Touches

Hey Michi nation, welcome back to your favorite blog! My group and I have been working on finishing the editing process with our music video. While reviewing our music video I realized our song had one curse word in it and we forgot to put the clean version off the song. So Owen proceeded to fix this by searching up the clean version of "Ivy" on youtube and repeating the same process as last time. Which was screen recording the audio from YouTube and then using a feature on CapCut which extracts the audio from the screen recording. We also solved our other problem of being able to find a free copyright video for one our scenes. Since we were unable to film our own version for the scene we resulted to a free stock video. We picked one that was the closet to what we needed and settled for that. We weren't going to pay the outrageous prices vendors were selling these videos for. These two issues we had were minor but could have affected our final outcome and grade severely. In the meanwhile Owen added some final touches such as transitions and that sort of stuff. He played around with different transitions throughout our video for the raw shots to be more on the hidden side. Along with this we also added the title of our song and perfected the timing to our best abilities. I can't speak for the rest of my group but I think we worked great together. Personally for our first group project the final outcome was pretty amazing. We're reaching the finish line closer by the day. Meaning you guys are a blog closer away from being able to see all our hard work. You guys have been a witness by reading my blogs, on how hard we have worked to achieve the best outcome for our video. Although we've had our technical difficulties talking out our problems and communicating has been our best solution. At the end of the day I adore my group and I loved working with them. That it for todays blog Michi nation, until next time!
-Xoxo Michelle
