Production Blog: Testing New Techniques

Hey Michi nation, welcome back to your favorite blog! Today we decided to practice some angles and shots for our video. We all went to Owen's place first. My group mate checked that all the props were in their proper places once we arrived. Rose would be the one recording Owen and I during scenes that didn't involve her. Rose then went through her scenes several times. Before we started recording, she did a few practice runs. We're recording our scenes as a test run so they can all be examined later. Before formally creating and editing them together, Rose will be examining her media to see if anything needs to be improved or fixed. We then went on to film our first scene, which had Owen and me coming up with the idea. We were all a little apprehensive for the first scene and were laughing, so Rose had to record this several times. For three more sequences, we continued laughing. We were able to establish our characters only after those three sessions. Once we started acting resentful, Rose was able to get some really great shots. We believe that for a test run, they turned out well. Rose then performed her first few scenes as Owen took over. It required several attempts to get this right. As a result, we had to wait for it to charge when our recording phone's battery died. Owen was forced to re-film most of her scenes after Rose examined them while the phone was charging.
